This chart gives an easy to read guide for selecting the correct length hanger a
per your flexible duct size, insulation thickness and the height drop from your fixing
point.
PRODUCT SIZES
If you are purchasing rolls for D.I.Y. situations here is an easy formula to follow to calculate how many rolls to buy.
1. You need the quantity of Flexible duct you have to hang. e.g.- 1000 off
2. You need height from the fixing point. e.g. - 200mm. (dimension “B” )
3. You need the size of the flexible duct airway and insulation thickness. e.g. - 200 Ø / 50mm. (Dimension “A” )
4. See reference chart for the required length. e.g. - 1300mm/L (1.3M)
5. The rolls are 35m long, so divide your hanger length into your roll length. e.g.- 35m ÷1.3m = 26 hangers per roll.
6. Divide your quantity of flex’s by your hangers per roll. e.g.- 1000 off ÷ 26 = quantity of rolls to purchase - 38.
7. Multiply this amount by the number of hangers per flexible duct required to comply with AS4254 spacings and the duct manufacturers requirements.
Please Note: FDH - Flexible Duct Hangers have a recommended load limit below 15 Kilograms - Do not exceed this limit.
This product is designed for the support and hanging of light-weight flexible air conditioning duct work only.
Do not use this product for any other purpose but for its intended use, as serious injury could occur.

Note: It is recommended that flexible duct be installed in lengths not exceeding 6m between a duct spigot and a terminal device. Refer to inline fan manufacturer for maximum permissible fan
positioning.
